1. What inspired you to become a hairstylist?
My high school guidance counselor actually suggested it based on my love for art and my creativity! 

2. How long have you been in the hairstyling industry?
I graduated from Paul Mitchell the School North Haven in 2013, so almost 11 years. 

3. What is your favorite haircut or style to create?
My favorite styles to create are bouncy blowouts , blonding and creative colors. 

4. What is your favorite go-to hair product that you can't live without?
A good dry shampoo

5. What's the most memorable moment you've had with a client?
Any moment my client truly feels it’s the best they’ve ever looked and felt. 

6. What's your favorite thing about being a hairstylist?
Getting to know and connecting with all different kinds of people, which makes every appointment different and new. Everyone has different style preferences, it really pushes your abilities to be a versatile stylist.

7. What's the best piece of hair care advice you give to your clients?
If you haven’t cleared it by your stylist, don’t do it. It’s our job to help! 

8. Do you have a favorite hair trend from the past or present?
I have a love for classic 2000’s highlights as well as color blocking 

9. What's the most challenging hair transformation you've ever done?
How long did it take?
Not the longest but my most challenging and rewarding transformation I personally have done was working with a girl who has Trichotillomania. If you don’t know, TTM is an anxiety disorder leading to hair pulling. We used a variety of coloring and cutting techniques to blend an inch of hair into about 2+ feet of hair.

10. Are there any hair myths you wish people would stop believing?
Avoiding cutting or trimming your hair will keep it long.
Do you know? Trimming your hair regularly will prevent split ends from traveling up the hair shaft, thus keeping your hair healthier, allowing it to continue to grow instead of thin out and split off!? 

11. What's your favorite type of music to listen to while at the salon?
Either early 2000’s or hardcore 

12. Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of hairstyling?
Spending as much time as possible with my Fiancé and our two boys, hiking, the beach, video games, TV, camping and anything crafty! 

13. What's your favorite way to spend a day off?
Get a couple things done and then spend the rest of the day doing NOTHING until my kids get home  

14. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
If it didn’t involve flying or boats, first place I would go is somewhere tropical

15. What's your favorite season?
SUMMER 

16. What’s your favorite restaurant?
I LOVE Chilis but my favorite local restaurants are the Guilford Mooring and Chapter 1! 

17. What's your favorite color?
PURPLE

18. What's your favorite flower?
Peonies 

19. What's your favorite candy or food?
My favorite candy is m&ms and my favorite food is steak 

20. What is your favorite store to shop at?
I don’t particularly have a favorite store to shop at to be honest, I shop all over the place!
