1. What inspired you to become a hairstylist?
By 19 years old I figured out it was incredibly hard to say I “knew what I wanted to do “. I’ve never been great with academics, however I’ve always been more of a “hands on” person so I thought this may be the career for me. If you know me you know I can TALK and I never sit still, which I can say is an added bonus to this career. I’m extremely happy with my choice of going to hair school back in 2012 :)
2. How long have you been in the hairstyling industry?
I’ve been licensed in this industry for over 10 years now. I graduated from Academy Di Capelli School of Cosmetology in Wallingford CT in 2014.
3. What is your favorite haircut or style to create?
I enjoy men’s cuts & vivid hair coloring.
4. What is your favorite go-to hair product that you can't live without?
Do I have to pick one?
DRY SHAMPOO
HEAT PROTECTANT
LEAVE IN CONDITIONER
5. What's the most memorable moment you've had with a client?
I’ve had too many special moments with so many. I find it incredibly rewarding if
someone comes in un-sure about a look, and they leave feeling their best self.
The smiles we get to see in the mirror are worth it.
6. What's your favorite thing about being a hairstylist?
My favorite part about being a stylist is you get to meet new people and hear their life stories daily. “You never know what is behind anyone’s smile” is a quote that has stuck with me over these past 12 years being involved in this industry. Not only do I have clients I’ve seen and taken care of for over 10 years now, but I’ve made so many life long friends throughout this career/life. I’ve had the chance to be apart of everyone’s good & bad such as , graduations, engagements, weddings, baby showers, first haircuts, illnesses, divorces, last haircuts and so much more. I am honored to be able to have clients I’ve personally have watched grow up and unfortunately some, I’ve watch grow old. This job may seem like you’re just doing hair but beneath that, there is SO much more that goes into it <3

9. What's the most challenging hair transformation you've ever done?
How long did it take?
Okay, I have to give a shout out to an OG, almost 9 year client of mine, Amanda G.
We have played A LOT over the years exploring all sorts of fun colors because what’s not to love about that?
One time, we spent an entire DAY into the NIGHT doing a FULL head bright purple 4-5 hour job then decided to add a FULL head of individual beaded in extensions of bright purple to add length and body which was about another 3+ hours spent. I cannot forget to mention, I spent 4 hours , 3 days prior - custom coloring the extensions to match the color purple we were going for.
We made it out alive and ordered lunch and dinner to the salon :)
Thank you Amanda for always making me create!

Washing hair everyday because "I’m too greasy”

If it’s my day to choose you can catch me putting on some good ol classic dad rock or some fun jam band tunes.
12. Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of hairstyling?
If you haven’t been to Wildwood yet, you will quickly learn walking through our doors that I am an absolute total plant freak! I love mixing my love of plants into my hair world by creating a nature loving environment as well as using only plant based products! I’ve always loved to explore new places & recently my husband and I have begun to travel, making me crave more and more of it. We enjoy finding new spots for some live music most weekends.
